The Climate in Zalea

Zalea enjoys a sub-tropical Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters.

The warm climate means that residents are able to make the most of the outdoors all year round with plenty of opportunities for walks, outdoor sports and activities, picnics, alfresco dining and trips to the beach.

Average temperatures in summer sit around 27-30°C with July and August usually being the warmest and in the winter temperatures typically average somewhere between 10-15°C with December being the coldest month.

The popular towns of Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Benalmadena are all within a 35-minute drive and provide an abundance of terrific food options from tapas and local cuisine to modern dining, fast food and cafes. There’s also a wide range of bars, pubs, cocktail bars, nightclubs and sports bars open day and night for those that like to enjoy a drink or two.

The beaches of both Torremolinos and Benalmadena provide visitors with the perfect setting to enjoy a day of sunbathing and relaxation or for those that are more active there are some great water sports and beach activities. When it’s time for a break from the sun there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from as well as ice cream shops and cafes.

If you’re happy to travel a little further, then Marbella is just 50 minutes away and is a must see destination with blue flag beaches such as ‘Playa de la Malagueta’. Popular with tourists, this award winning beach boasts warm clear waters and an abundance of places to eat, drink and shop nearby.
