The beautiful whitewashed village of Alora in Southern Spain is a much sought-after location for those seeking a quieter way of living whilst still being close to the nearby beaches, amenities and entertainment.

Nestled between three rocky spurs topped by the ruins of the castle – Alora sits on the riverbank of the Guadalhorce river and is overlooked by the impressive ‘mount Hacho’ which all makes for some seriously photographic scenery. If you enjoy hiking, dog walks or the outdoors then you’ll be able to make the most of the landscape and the breath-taking views that can be seen from the pinnacles. In the summer month’s temperatures average between 27-30°C with July and August usually seeing the highest temperatures with mostly clear skies. Winters typically average between 10-15°C with December seeing the lowest average temperatures and often cloud.
The great climate allows for plenty of time outdoors making the most of local beaches, pools, sports, alfresco dining and country walks.

Malaga is great for shopping and its city centre is full of great stores offering a range of brands. Malaga is also home to several shopping centres with El Corte Inglés, Malaga Plaza Shopping Centre and Vialia Shopping Centre to name just a few.
In Torremolinos – Calle San Miguel hosts an array of shops from jewellers and fashion boutiques to souvenir shops and delicatessens. It’s also worth exploring some of the narrow streets nearby and the picturesque squares in Plaza de Andalucía and Plaza de la Nogalera. Explore some of the quaint local shops and enjoy lunch or a drink on a terrace in the shade of the beautiful magnolia and palm trees that line the streets.
Torremolinos and Benalmadena beaches offer some great lazy day sunbathing as well as water sports and a wide range of great bars and restaurants for when it’s time to get out of the sun.
