The centre of the town itself is very attractive with pretty terraced buildings of varying styles lining the roads, pedestrianised walkways and plenty of things to see and do.

The local cuisine is typical of the area and features lots of fresh seafood and rice dishes as well as tapas and there are various cafes and bars for relaxed, affordable dining options.

In the centre of Alhaurin el Grande there is a lovely, well maintained park full of old trees, walkways with bridges over streams and there’s even a small but beautiful waterfall.

Fuengirola beach is just a 25-minute drive away and is a popular place to relax, do some sunbathing, partake in some water sports and sample the many bars and restaurants. The popular Marbella is just a 35 minute drive and has a blue flag beach ‘Playa de la Malagueta’ with warm clear waters and an endless choice of great restaurants, cafes, bars and shops to explore and enjoy.

For golf fans the Lauro Golf Course is just 15 minutes away by car and features 27 holes designed by Falco Nardi. One of the most reasonably priced golf courses on the Costa del Sol, the Lauro offers players some of the most magnificent scenery possible for you to take in and enjoy whilst on the course.
